We were finally able to celebrate our wedding with friends and family in August after two postponements and the birth of our baby girl. We first came across Château de Brives during a frantic search for a venue after our original venue in Dordogne cancelled on us, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise! Château de Brives acted as the perfect backdrop to our elegant and understated affair, offering great versatility to our non traditional celebration.
We eloped in London during covid and so decided to skip a conventional ceremony and instead asked family and friends to set the scene by telling stories of how we met, the proposal and how we unexpectedly welcomed our little girl the year before. No ceremony meant no bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, we accessorized with personalised fans and glasses of champagne instead!
Although we wanted the day to be relaxed and intimate, we still wanted it to feel special, so we branded everything we could with a bespoke logo designed by Luci at Last First Date Weddings which added an element of luxury to the stationery and styling.
The weekend exceeded all of our expectations and was so worth the wait. We can't thank the hosts, Sarah & George enough for their incredible hospitality and allowing us to celebrate our wedding in their beautiful home.
