I have always considered a styled shoot but always been busy planning and running weddings so never prioritised this side of being a wedding planner. Then Covid happened and I was missing seeing weddings set up so decided it was time to make the most of this extra time. The styled shoot was aimed at focusing on how couples could change their summer weddings into a Autumn weddings with just one colour change or addition. I used Burnt Orange to add a darker colour to the original lighter colours. The main focus of the shoot as I said was Burnt Orange but also offering a perfect balance of Boho and Luxury to produce an elegant earthy inspired shoot.I love the venue we used, Domaine De La Fauconnie with its stunning Manoir, breath taking Orangery and rustic rotunda offering the perfect balance between modern comfort and old-world luxury.I love mixing long and round tables to offer different flower combinations, and keeping people looking at the room and seeing something new. This was further enhanced with the use of coloured wine glasses which were all different shapes and shade which added a great curious feel to the table scape as none of the glasses were the same. For the hair and make-up, we did two looks which were both in keeping with the Boho Luxury theme with the textures in the hair and the colours used in the make-up. This was achieved amazingly by Linzi from Skin 23 and Nik from Nik Bridal hair.We had two dresses one for the main wedding photo’s and one for later in the day which was from Appelez Moi Madame which was a lovely lightweight blush pink dress perfect for the evening reception. The first was from Les Files Fidles which was a Tatiana Kaplun dress which was a voluptuous sublime floral wedding dress with its stunning cascade of pleated tulle for the skirt pulling back in the Bohemian theme, then Flowers Fairy Fleur matched the flowers perfectly not only with the colour scheme but also this stunning dress! The show stopper of the day though was the cake, I simply asked Steph from Steph the Cake Lady to use burnt orange and geometic shapes to link in with the wedding arch, and she did so much more it was just stunning! So cleverly made and so different from everything I had seen recently.I have to say for my first styled shoot it was more stressful to plan than an actual wedding but the pictures by Angie Deodato made it all worthwhile, And now I can’t wait for the next one!Special mention to all our suppliers involved in this wonderful Autumnal Shoot including Linzi from Skin23 MUA, Our Fabulous Things and created by Perfect Day by KarenPlanning & Styling - @perfectdaybykarenFlowers - @fairyfleur1Prop hire - @ourfabulousthings Venue -@domaine_de_la_fauconniemodels - @noemie.smt & @viccsrPhotographer This email address is being protected from spambots.
