My name is Ray Thatcher and I have been conducting non-religious Wedding Ceremonies at venues in the South of France with my wife Cherry, since October 2009.
I have been lucky enough to have had a career in Engineering, Marketing and Training that has taken me around the World and have experience of public speaking and making presentations to both large and small audiences.
Working as a team, Cherry and I now enjoy helping couples to celebrate their Wedding Day and take great pride in playing a caring and professional role in their special celebrations.
The Weddings Words & Wishes non-sectarian Marriage Ceremony is based on Humanism and is composed by Ray himself. A framework text is offered to you in English, French or English/French combined.
Ray and Cherry work closely with you the bride and groom to create a ceremony that is perfect for your needs.
They offer advice on the correct balance, flow and length as well as content throughout the process.
Their aim is to create a personalised ceremony that reflects your personalities and desires, on what should be the most important day of your lives.
Cherry will send you 3 additional documents to assist you in the planning of your ceremony:
1. Ideas for readings and poems for family or friends to read during the ceremony
2. Helpful Hints on planning a ceremony.
3. A sample marriage declaration for signing during the ceremony.
We ask for a deposit to secure the date and we send them a registration form to complete and return. It is then up to the clients to choose the elements they would like to include in their script or add in any of their own! We are also happy to skype with clients to discuss options, especially if it is not practical to meet up in person.
On the day we would arrive at least an hour before the ceremony to make sure everything runs smoothly.
